In addition to my daily pieces, I like to develop my skills and broaden my horizons with other projects. The internet is a great place to connect with like-minded musicians and creatives around the world. Here you will find links to those projects and, perhaps, find an inspiration for yourself.
Music Weeklies
Music Weeklies run a number of competitions, normally each week, where they challenge you to write an original track. You have to follow a brief in keeping with a specified theme. The deadline is Fridays at 7pm UK time; each following challenge is issued one hour later at 8pm. It’s great fun. Do visit their site for more information.

Cue Tube
The Cue Tube is a great resource for film composers. This is where I find free videos to rescore and build a portfolio. It’s also a great place for filmmakers to find composers for their projects.
