This is where it all began back in 2013.
I remember the feeling of starting, quite clearly. It was a mix of excitement and trepidation, with part of me looking forward to new adventures and the other part hoping that no one would hear it! Funnily enough, it has had more plays that my recent tracks but I think this is partly due to the changes in online streaming that have happened over the last 8-9 years.
2013 was an interesting year. It contained a significant birthday and the main goals were to post a track every day of the year and, as always, go on a weight-loss campaign!
I decided that, as there were 12 notes and 12 months, I would stay in the same key for the whole of each month. Even back then I set off with half a plan aimed at exploring the evolution of an idea. Interestingly, by the fifth day of the month I had my first ‘catchy’ melody.
